The MCLA Athletics department hosted a very successful National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration on Saturday prior to the women's basketball contest. This year marked the 30th straight year that MCLA has participated in this event.
MCLA was well represented on the Fall Sportsmanship team announced this afternoon by the MASCAC. Colin Rousseau (Men's Soccer), Jenna Berg (Women's CC), Tessa Sestito (Volleyball), Chris Gamble (Men's CC), and Hannah Van de Water (Women's Soccer) were selected by their coaches from MCLA.
The MCLA Athletics Golf Classic was held yesterday at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, MA. The event honored Charlie O'Brien and netted over $40,000 for student-athletes! Adams Community Bank served as the Presidents Title Club sponsor.

MCLA President Dr. James F. Birge and the department of Athletics have announced the addition of Men's Lacrosse to its Varsity lineup. The Trailblazers will begin play during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Four MCLA Basketball players have been named to the MASCAC Winter All Academic Team, players need to achieve either a 3.2 cumulative or semester based GPA to qualify. Adam Conquest from Men's Basketball was the lone representative while women's basketball had three players named: L'Rae Brundige, Mckenzie Robinson, and Courtney Pingelski
The MCLA Atheltics department got high marks for the Women in College Coaching Report Card as they received an "A" for having 100% of our female teams led by women head coaches by the Tucker Center for Girls and Women in Sport
The MCLA Athletics Department inducted Kevin Carmody, Phil Caruso, and Jen Wehner into the Hall of Fame on Saturday. The department also honored longtime baseball coach and athletics director Joe Zavattaro on being inducted into the NEIBA Hall of Fame
The MCLA Athletics department has partnered with local vendor Reynolds Team Sales for the 2017-18 academic year and beyond. The Trailblazers will get custom Under Armour apparel from Reynolds Team Sales, as they are a certified UA dealership.

Jen Wehner '12 will headline a trio of inductees into the MCLA Athletics Hall of Fame on September 23rd at the Holiday Inn in downtown North Adams. Wehner is the all time leading scorer and rebounder in women's basketball, while excelling as a dual sport athlete. She was also an all conference performer in women's soccer
