Berkshire Hills Country Club- Pittsfield, MA
The MCLA Golf Classic is an annual event supporting athletics. The tournament is an 18-hole scramble format. Entry into the tournament includes golf, cart, gift, and buffet dinner. Tournament contests include hole-in-one prize holes and closest to the pin and longest drive competitions. A raffle and silent auction are held throughout the day. There are both gross and net division winners at the conclusion of the event. All proceeds raised from the event benefit the MCLA Athletics Department and the College's student-athletes.
Each year MCLA recognizes a deserving individual or business that has impacted MCLA Athletics. In 2019, the department is delighted to honor Dan Trombley '90 and Nicole Westall '92. Trombley and Westall are both graduates from MCLA as both earned Business Administration degrees. Trombley served on the Foundation Board of Directors from 2009 to 2018, and while a director served as treasurer, vice-chair, and chair of the board. Trombley and Westall have been Foundation corporators since 2009. Their commitment to MCLA is evident in their leadership roles at the college where both donate their time and resources to help raise funds for student scholarships and other initiatives. The duo have also been strong supporters of the MCLA Golf Classic through Alton & Westall as sponsors and players. Trombley and Westall have positively impacted the Berkshire County community and the golf classic is honored to partner with them in 2019.
