Josh Thielen was one of the most prolific scorers in the
Men’s Basketball program history. He is a two time MVP
and led the team in scoring all four years at MCLA.
Thielen ranks third on the school’s career scoring list
with 1,815 points. Josh also ranks first in both
three-pointers made in a season with 101 and for his career with
256. He is fourth on the career steals list with 172. Thielen
was a two-time first-team all-conference selection and was the
MASCAC scoring champion in 1997-98 with over a 22 point per game
average.
Josh led MCLA to a share of the regular season MASCAC title his
senior year as the team finished 17-9 overall and 10-2 mark in
conference play.
Thielen has been the owner of a mortgage business for the past
eight years and has also been involved in financial services.
His current project is attempting to convert larger electric
companies to convert over to renewable less expensive solar
energy. He is living in Enfield, CT and is married to his
wife Cynthia, and has two children in Maya and Avery.
