North Adams, MA- The MCLA Golf program will host three events at their home club, Berkshire Hills, as announced today by the department. The Trailblazers will play seven matches in total, some of which span 36 holes.
MCLA will open play on September 1st with their annual kickoff match at Cobleskill Country Club hosted by Cobleskill. The Trailblazers will then host the first of three matches at BHCC starting on Thursday, September 14th. MCLA will host their annual invitational that day featuring eight different schools in the 18 hole medal play matchup.
After a week off, MCLA will take the short ride over to Williamstown to take part in the two day, 36 hole Williams Invitational held at Taconic Golf Club on September 23-24. The Trailblazers will continue their play on the 26th with a one day trip to Tekoa Golf Club for the Westfield State Invitational.
MCLA will then host the MASCAC Championship on October 3rd at BHCC. The MASCAC's were typically held in April, however the conference shifted their championship to the fall and the Trailblazers were the recipients of hosting. A 36 hole two day match at Elms will follow over Columbus Day weekend before MCLA wraps up play with the NAC Championships.
The NAC championships will also be hosted by MCLA and at Berkshire Hills CC. The winner of the NAC title receives an automatic bid into the NCAA championships in the spring.
