Senior Day- Erika Quackenbush (Softball)

Today's profile is on MCLA Softball player Erika Quackenbush.

Quackenbush has excelled in all phases of being a student-athlete.  Academically, she is a member of the Dean's List and MASCAC All Academic Teams.  She is also a member of Chi Alpha Sigma.  

On the field, Quackenbush was named team MVP last season and has been an integral component of the program as a utility player.  Last season, she batted .323 with 20 RBI's and 18 runs scored.  She belted two home runs last season and four in her career.  Quackenbush batted a very respectable .321 over the course of her career in North Adams.

She also appeared in 13 games in the circle for the Trailblazers.

The Hoosick Falls, NY native will graduate with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Psychology and Sociology.  She also will minor in Criminal Justice and Social Work.

What do you miss the most about competing this Spring?: Making memories on and off the field with teammates

What advice would you give other students in your program?: Never take for granted a single game or practice because you never know when it can be your last.

What are your plans after graduation?: Getting a job in law enforcement and/or social work

Favorite memory being involved in MCLA Athletics: First game back after shoulder surgery

Favorite professor and class at MCLA, elaborate why: Alex Daugherty-Probation because it pointed me in the direction of pursuing criminal justice
