Wehner adds NEWBA All Region honors to her resume
MCLA senior forward Jen Wehner was named to the NEWBA All Region Second team following her strong season.
North Adams, MA- MCLA senior forward, Jen Wehner, was named to the NEWBA (New England Women's Basketball Association) All Region second team. Wehner, who will compete in the NEWBA senior all star game this weekend, averaged a double double for the Trailblazers.
Being honored by NEWBA is nothing new for Wehner. She was named the player of the week on February 13th after earning the honor twice as a junior. Wehner will graduate as the all time leading scorer and rebounder in program history.
She was instrumental in MCLA's rise towards the conference's elite. With her in the post, MCLA had four straight winning seasons, including their only conference championship in 2010. She also led the Trailblazers to the conference finals as well as helping MCLA earn an ECAC tournament bid.
Wehner was a member of the All MASCAC team all four seasons at the college.
