Women's hoops tabbed fifth in Preseason MASCAC poll
The MCLA Women's Basketball program was selected to finish fifth in the MASCAC preseason poll.
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Basketball program was tabbed to finish fifth in the recently released Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference Preseason Women's Basketball poll. Defending champion Bridgewater State was selected as the preseason favorite.
The Trailblazers, under the direction of head coach Holly McGovern, finished last season 15-13, which included a 6-6 league mark.
Following Bridgewater in the poll was Westfield State, who also garnered a first place vote. The Owls were followed by Salem State and Worcester State, the latter of which earned a first place nod.
Fitchburg State was tied with the Trailblazers in the fifth spot, while Framingham State rounded out the poll.
MCLA will open its season Thursday night at 5:30 when they host Daniel Webster.
