MASCAC Player of the Week Release
North Adams, MA- MCLA senior guard, Lucy Tremblay capped off a memorable week by being selected as the MASCAC player of the week. Tremblay, who shared the honor with Fitchburg State forward Amy Fahey, notched her 1,000th career point Friday night.
Tremblay averaged a remarkable 26 points, 6.3 boards, 3.7 steals, and 3.3 assists in a 2-1 week for MCLA.
She began the week with a 25 point outing at Union (NY). Her performance sparked the Trailblazers as they rallied back from a 15 point deficit only to come up just a bit short. That game would set the tone for her milestone performance Friday night.
Entering the matchup with St. Joseph (CT), she would need 15 points to become the fifth member of the 1,000 point club. The senior would waste little time collecting the milestone marker in the first half. She wouldn't stop there however, as she totaled a whopping 39 points in the Trailblazer victory. She would round out the week with another double digit performance in a win over SUNY Canton.
Tremblay and the Trailblazers will wrap up play this semester on Wednesday when they travel to Smith College. Tip off is 7pm.
