Tremblay named to All MASCAC second team
Trailblazer senior guard Lucy Tremblay was named second team All MASCAC following her impressive senior season.
North Adams, MA- MCLA Trailblazer senior guard Lucy Tremblay (East Greenbush, NY) was named to the All MASCAC second team following her impressive senior season. The honor marks the first time that Tremblay has recieved an All Conference nod after being named the Rookie of the Year back in 2010.
Tremblay truly had a season to remember. She is currently second in the conference in scoring, just a tenth of a point behind Fitchburg's Amy Fahey. Tremblay has carved her niche in the Trailblazer record books. She set a single season points per game record (18.3) this season eclipsing a mark that stood for almost 20 years. The slashing senior also set a school record having dropped 39 points in an early season win over St. Joseph (CT).
If setting a school record wasn't good enough, Tremblay became a member of the exclusive 1,000 point club that night. She ended her career as the second leading scorer in women's basketball history trailing only Jen Wehner, her former teammate.
Worcester State's Meaghan O'Keefe was tabbed as the conference's player of the year, while Bridget Casey of Bridgwater and Karen Tessmer of Worcester shared Coach of the Year honors. Westfield State's Keri Doldoorian was named as the rookie of the year.
