Oneonta, NY- MCLA's Lauren Mangiardi netted a hat trick and Kate Mancini added a pair of goals as the Trailblazers cruised past Cobleskill 6-1 this evening in a match hosted by SUNY Oneonta. MCLA earns their second straight win as they improved to 3-7. The Fighting Tigers fall to 4-7 on the season.
Mancini opened the scoring in the 18th minute as she scored an unassisted goal for her first of the season. Ten minutes later, Mangiardi collected a Caitlyn Maloney feed and deposited in the goal to make it 2-0. She would then connect on a blast from 30 yards out just 25 seconds later to give MCLA a 3-0 lead.
The Fighting Tigers would get one back on Leigha LaTourette's goal in the 38th minute, but MCLA would go into halftime with a commanding 3-1 edge.
Mancini and Mangiardi would put the game out of reach when they scored just a minute apart from each other to increase the lead to 5-1. Hannah Van de Water would add a goal in the 73rd minute to complete the scoring.
Megan Richardson earned the win in net for the Trailblazers stopping four shots.
The Trailblazers will head to Framingham State on Saturday morning as they seek their third straight win.
