Framingham, MA- Framingham State's Hannah Kane converted in the 72nd minute to lift the Rams past the visiting MCLA Trailblazers 1-0 this afternoon in MASCAC action. The win moves the Rams to 3-8 overall, but now are 2-2 in the conference. MCLA drops to 3-8 on the season and is 1-3 in the league.
The Rams controlled play throughout the afternoon as they held a commanding 21-1 shot advantage over MCLA, but couldn't get one past Trailblazer keeper Megan Richardson for most of the contest.
After a scoreless half, Kane finally broke through for her first goal of the season to put the Rams out in front in the 72nd minute. The Rams still controlled the play for the remainder of action as MCLA struggled to gain control.
Madison Brown earned the shutout win for the Rams as she stopped the only shot she saw.
Richardson earned 8 stops betweent the pipes for MCLA.
The Trailblazers return to action on Tuesday when they host NVU-Johnson at Shewcraft Field.
