MCLA goes 0-3 at Rochester Invitational
The MCLA Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Skidmore in the opening match at the Rochester Invitational. With the loss, MCLA is now 2-5.
Rochester, NY- The MCLA Volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Skidmore in the opening match at the Rochester Invitational.
The Trailblazers dropped the opening game 25-15 before succombing 25-11 in the second. MCLA could not recover as Skidmore swept the match winning 25-16 to close out the Trailblazers.
MCLA dropped two more matches on Saturday to Rochester and Medaille by an identical score of 3-0 in both matches. MCLA is 2-7 after the weekend.
MCLA lost 25-10, 25-12 and 25-20 to the host school Rochester.
Kayla Bromback had nine kills versus Rochester and six more versus Medaille. Kelley Bryant and Darrien Quick added five versus Medaille. Allie Chang had fourteen digs in the final match as well. Brittany Kish had fifteen assists on the second day of play.
The Trailblazers lost to Medaille 25-16, 25-19 and 25-11.
Kayla Bromback was named to the All-Tournament Team for the weekend.
MCLA will be in action again Tuesday for the important 2011 MASCAC conference opener at Worcester State starting at 7:00pm.
