MCLA rolls past Maritime for first MASCAC win
The MCLA Volleyball team won their first MASCAC match and fourth straight overall as they rolled past Maritime in three sets this afternoon. The Trailblazers are now 8-15 overall.

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Volleyball team won their first MASCAC match and fourth straight overall as they rolled past Maritime in three sets this afternoon. The Trailblazers are now 8-15 overall.
Trailblazer senior Kayla Bromback (Lee, Mass.) notched eight kills to lead MCLA. Junior Julia Christian (Cohoes, N.Y.) added six kills in the triumph for the host Trailblazers (8-15, 1-3 MASCAC), who prevailed by game scores of 25-9, 25-11 and 25-4.
Senior Hayley Gundersen (Gansevoort, N.Y.) registered 11 set assists for MCLA, which received four service aces from freshman Angelica Perfido (Whately, Mass.).
Freshmen Kelsey Pelletier (Bristol, Conn.) and Meghan Weir (North Andover, Mass.) each registered two kills in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-20, 0-3 MASCAC), who also received nine digs from sophomore Michaela Garrity (Tiverton, R.I.). Freshman Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) chipped in with seven digs and a service aces for Massachusetts Maritime, which also received a kill and three digs from sophomore Ashley Button (Southfield, Mass.).
Massachusetts Maritime travels to Worcester, Mass. to take on host Clark and Salve Regina in a non-league tri-match that begins at 11:00 a.m., while MCLA hosts Elms in a non-league match on Thursday evening at the Amsler Campus Center beginning at 7:00 p.m.
