North Adams, MA- MCLA's Kelly Moczulski has collected her fifth straight MASCAC rookie of the week honor as the conference has announced its weekly awards. Moczulski has had a stranglehold on the award since early September.
Lizzie Taylor of Westfield State was tabbed as the player of the week.
Moczulski continues to lead the team in most offensive categories in 2019. She currently leads MCLA in kills and attacks. The first year OH ranks fourth in the MASCAC in kills as well.
The Trailblazers are off to a great start in 2019 having amassed a record of 11-6. They sit at 2-1 in the conference.
Last week, Moczulski averaged 9.6 kills and 4.6 digs in a 2-1 week for the Trailblazers. She collected 11 kills and six digs with a .385 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Fitchburg State last Tuesday. Over the weekend in a tri match, she added 15 kills and six digs with a .333 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Utica College.
She will look to lead MCLA to another W tomorrow when they host Sage at 6pm in the Amsler Campus Center Gym.
