North Adams, MA- The MCLA Volleyball program is coming off a successful season and the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference (MASCAC) took notice. Kelly Moczulski was tabbed as the conference's rookie of the year and a first team selection. Joining her on the second team were Reagan Scattergood, Tessa Sestito, and Natasha Stewart. The honors mark the first for all four student athletes.
Four Trailblazers named All MASCAC in Volleyball

Brandee Thomas of Framingham State has been voted as the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Year. Fred Glanville of Westfield State was voted by his peers as the 2019 Champion's Choice Volleyball Coach of the Year after leading the Owls to a perfect 7-0 mark in league action and the top seed in the tournament.

Scattergood (Rhinebeck, NY) had a solid sophomore season for MCLA. She was second on the team in kills with 186 and collected a team best 47 blocks. She ranked in the top ten in the conference in those categories.
Sestito (Corona, CA) saved her best season for last. The senior setter compiled 712 assists on the season, good for a school record. She wasn't one dimensional however as she also recorded 264 digs on the season. Sestito was second in the MASCAC in assists.
The final selection was Stewart (North Andover, MA). Stewart did a bit of everything for MCLA as she tallied a team best 422 digs and added 171 assists on the season. She also recorded 36 aces for the Trailblazers.
Joining Thomas and Moczulski on the All-Conference First Team are Sydney Rice of Bridgewater State, Alyssa Cafarelli of Framingham State and Ally Rega, Brianna Starkey and Lizzie Taylor of Westfield State.
Earning a spot on the MASCAC Second Team All-Conference are Casey Holmes of Bridgewater State, Hailey Sanders of Framingham State, Ashley Crowley of Westfield State and Natalie Gillis of Worcester State.
The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, the nation's first Division III men's and women's playing conference, has a rich and storied tradition of competitive success while celebrating excellence in the classroom. MASCAC core member schools include Bridgewater State University, Fitchburg State University, Framingham State University, MCLA, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Salem State University, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. Two other institutions, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Plymouth State University, are affiliate members of the conference in the sports of football and men's ice hockey, while Western Connecticut State University joined the conference as an affiliate member in football beginning in 2013.
