MCLA Stays in MASCAC Playoff race
The MCLA Trailblazers softball team kept their record at .500 in the MASCAC on Sunday, tied for fourth in the league and moved to 11-15 overall.
The MCLA Trailblazers softball team kept their record at .500 in the MASCAC on Sunday, tied for fourth in the league and moved to 11-15 overall.
The Trailblazers won game one 15-1 and dropped the nightcap 11-6.
Hadley Ameen (North Adams, MA) got the win in game going five innings. Ameen is now 8-7. Sarah Greenwood (Northfield, MA) took the loss in game two; Greenwood is now 3-8.
In game one five Trailblazers had multi-hit games. Kate Oullette (Norwood, MA) was 3-4 with two homers and seven RBI’s. Megan Boyer (Clarksburg, MA) was 3-3 with four RBI’s and Ameen helped her cause with three hits as well. Meg Vallieries (North Adams, MA) and Kendra Hobbs (Haverill, MA) both had two hits apiece.
In game two Amanda Borsotti (Lee, MA) and Kayla Koumjian (Watervliet, NY) combined to go 4-5 with a walk and three runs scored.
MCLA plays MASCAC leader Worcester State tomorrow at 1:00 PM on MCLA Fan Day.
