MCLA's Ouellette named MASCAC player of the week

MCLA's Katie Ouellette was honored by the MASCAC Tuesday being named the softball player of the week.  It is the first such honor for a Trailblazer softball player this spring.  Ouellette is a junior from Norwood, MA.

Ouellette batted at a .387 clip with a pair of homers and 11 RBI in 3-5 week for MCLA.  She tallied a pair of homers and 7 RBI in 15-1 rout of Fitchburg State, before adding a pair of hits and three more RBI in 8-7 setback against Springfield. 

This season Ouellete is batting .380 with four home runs and twenty-six RBI’s. She also leads the team with thirty-five hits, seven doubles and a .587 slugging percentage.

MCLA is back in action on Thursday when they play Skidmore at 3:30
