MCLA earns road victory at Becker, improves to 4-0
MCLA had a balanced attack in a 79-63 non conference road win at Becker. With the win, MCLA moves to 4-0. Johanna Miner led the Trailblazers with 12 points.
Leicester, Mass.- MCLA outscored Becker 43-26 in the first half and never looked back, as the Trailblazers defeated the Hawks 79-63 in women's basketball action.
MCLA only trailed once the entire game, as they held leads as big as 19 in the first half. Freshman Johanna Miner (Greenfield, Mass) led the Trailblazers with 12 points. Sophomore Olivia McMullen (Broadalbin, NY) chipped in with ten points. Freshman Lucy Tremblay (East Greenbush, NY) cleaned up under the net with eight defensive rebounds.
Becker had three players in double figures. Junior Heidi Miller (Sanbornton, NH) had a game high 17 points and eight rebounds. Seniors Catherine Millette (Columbia, Conn) and Courtney Fiske (Westfield, Mass) chipped in with 11 points each.
MCLA improved to 4-0 overall. The Trailblazers will host Williams College on Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Becker fell to 0-3 overall.
