The MCLA Trailblazers head into the semester break riding a four game winning streak and are 8-1 overall.
The Trailblazers best wins of the first semester came at home vs. Salve Regina and on a neutral site against Simmons College. Regina was twenty win team last season and an NCAA tournament team. The Trailblazers knocked off Simmons at the Elms Tournament. Simmons was 17-9 last season and is off to another solid year. The Trailblazers lone loss came at home to the 8-2 William Ephs.
The Trailblazers sophomore Jen Wehner has been a big part of the story. Wehner is ranked 14th in the country in field goal percentage at a clip just under 63%. Wehner is also 17th in the country with an average of 2.6 blocks per game. The Trailblazers as a team are 27th in the country with 4.6 blocks per game.
The Trailblazers will return to action on January 6th at home vs. Union College at 7:00 PM then open up conference play on January 9th vs. Worcester State College at 3:00 PM.
