27th Annual MCLA Athletics Golf Classic raises over $48k

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Last Monday, September 23^rd, the MCLA Athletic Department hosted its 27th  annual golf classic at the Wyndhurst Golf and Club in Lenox, Massachusetts. The event is held each year to benefit the student-athletes and the athletic programs at the college. At the Classic, MCLA recognizes a deserving person or business that has impacted MCLA athletics. This year's honoree was Jason Dohaney of the class of 2004. Dohaney is a financial advisor at MountainOne Investments and chair of the MCLA Foundation.

Mountain One was the event's lead sponsor, which kicked off with a shotgun start at 11 AM in an 18-hole scramble format. The team of Dan Trombley, Nicholas Trombley, Jeffrey Hancock, and Stephin Wallace had a total net of ten under par, shooting a 61. The day also featured bonuses, including a closest-to-the-pin contest and a longest-drive competition. An awards reception followed the golf tournament.
