MCLA's Hermance named MASCAC pitcher of the week
MCLA junior right hander Sean Hermance was named the MASCAC pitcher of the week for his performance against Mass Maritime Academy on Saturday. The honor is the first for a MCLA hurler this season.
Buzzards Bay, MA- MCLA junior right hander Sean Hermance (Elizaville, NY) was named the MASCAC pitcher of the week for his performance against Mass Maritime Academy on Saturday. The honor is the first for a MCLA hurler this season.
Hermance earned a much needed MASCAC victory in the nightcap of the twinbill finishing the 6-0 shutout allowing only three singles to Buccanneer hitters. Hermance struck out a pair on the afternoon. For the week, he added another clean inning at Cobleskill bringing his weekly total to 8 innings pitched while not allowing a run.
Hermance currently leads the team with 3 wins on the season. The junior transferred into MCLA from Ulster Community College in the fall.
MCLA will return to the diamond on Tuesday when they host crosstown rival Williams College at 4pm.
