MCLA's Ripepi named MASCAC Player of the Week

MCLA senior shortstop John Ripepi was named MASCAC Co-Player of the week after batting .444 on the ten game Florida Swing. MCLA went 5-5 on the trip.

Buzzards Bay, MA- MCLA senior shortstop John Ripepi was named MASCAC Co-Player of the week as announced this afternoon by the league office.  Ripepi batted .444 on the ten game Florida Swing in which the Trailblazers went 5-5.  He shared the honors with John Phelan of Fitchburg State.

Ripepi hit safely in nine of ten games, including five multi-hit games.  He reached base safely in all ten contests.  He led the team eight RBI's and was a perfect 7-7 in stolen bases.  He added three doubles and a pair of triples as well.  His best day was a 3-4 performance against UMass-Dartmouth in which he drove in three runs, stole a base and scored once.

Ripepi and the Trailblazers await to open their northern schedule later this week.
