MCLA Swept by MASCAC Leader Bridgewater State
MCLA got beat at Bridgewater on Patriots day by scores of 5-0 and 16-7. MCLA is now 11-17 overall and 2-6 in the MASCAC.

MCLA was no-hit in game one by Kenny Pennini. Pennini did walk three, but struck out twelve along the way.
Cody Weaver took the loss, but only allowed three hits himself. Cody walked five and allowed five runs (four earned).
Bridgewater scored four runs in the second inning on just one hit. Weaver had control problems in the inning walking three and throwing a wild pitch. Weaver settled down and didn't give up an earned run the rest of the way.
Game two saw Bridgewater jump out 13-3 after three innings. MCLA starter Joe Vaverka allowed five runs in the second inning to take the loss.
MCLA did respond in the top of the third inning by scoring three of their own. Ryan Shewchuk and Joe Duncan had back to back walks with two outs. Chase Preite then had an RBI single and took second on the throw. Duncan and Preite both came around on a Bridgewater error on a ball hit by Rory Slattery, making it 5-3.
Bridgewater would explode for eight runs off relief pitchers Derek Lescarbeau and Alon Willing, essentially putting the game out of reach.
Bears pitcher Jake Scott walked three Trailblazers in the sixth inning and Nick Mancini and Preite had RBI singles in the inning as MCLA would score four times to cut the lead to 15-7. MCLA would get no closer however and would fall 16-7.
Preite had two hits and two RBI's and Joe Duncan scored two runs in game two.
MCLA will host Skidmore Thursday at 4:00pm.
