Local youth baseball group opens season with help from MCLA Baseball and Murdock

North Adams, MA- The Northern Berkshire Independent Youth Baseball (NBIYB) league held their opening day ceremonies over the weekend.  As part of the festive celebration, the local organization invited MCLA's own Murdock and head baseball coach Mike Gladu to be a part of the day.

According to the NBIYB Facebook page, the players had a blast and enjoyed their time with Murdock.

"Opening day of the minors season a great success!  A huge shout out and Thank you to Mike Gladu, who made it possible to secure MCLA Trailblazer mascot Murdock," the post read.  "Thank you for enduring the heat and the players loved Murdock."

Murdock would go on to fire the ceremonial first pitch of the season and then participate in handing out baseballs to every player in the league.
