Baseball reveals 2022 Schedule, will head to RussMatt in March
The MCLA Baseball team has released their 2022 schedule which will begin in March
North Adams, MA-- The MCLA Baseball program has released their 2022 Schedule which will kick off with the teams trip to Central Florida in the Russ Matt Invitational. In total, MCLA will play 38 games in 2022. The last two seasons have ended early due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
MCLA will head south from March 11-17th. The Trailblazers will play a ten game slate in the sunshine state with opponents still to be determined. The Trailblazers return north and will open with three straight road tilts. MCLA heads to RPI on March 23rd before taking on Sage in a twinbill just four days later. Head coach Mike Gladu's nine will then open up conference play on April 1st with a road game at Bridgewater State.
The home opener is set for the next day as the Bears travel up to North Adams for a doubleheader. A non league matchup with Elms is next before MCLA welcomes Worcester State to town on April 8th. The Lancers host MCLA the next day which starts a five game road trip. The Trailblazers head to Rivier for a night game and then will challenge Framingham State as they continue conference play.
MCLA hosts the Rams on April 15th before challenging Westfield and Union on the road. Highlighting the final two weeks of the season are home dates with Mass. Maritime, Westfield State, Fitchburg State, and the regular season finale with Salem State.
