HOW IT HAPPENED
- Game #1
- The Lancers set the tone early in this game, scoring crooked-number runs in the first, third, and fifth innings. In the first inning, it was a four-spot on an RBI double by Alan Carpenter and a three-run home run by Tyler Normandie. Normandie struck again in the third inning, hitting his second three-run home run. The Trailblazers were able to limit Normandie to just an RBI single in the fifth inning, but also traded a run for two outs one batter later.
- Worcester limited MCLA to just four hits, singles by Joshua Bissaillon (East Greenbush, NY) in the first inning, Jake Jasminski (Milford, CT) and Collin Gevry (Newtown, CT) in the second, and Benjamin Jacob (Pittsfield, MA) in the fifth.
- The Lancers' Jack Hildred picked up the win to move to 4-2 after limiting the Trailblazers to three hits over four innings, striking out three against a single walk. MCLA's Cam Harrington (Pittsfield, MA) took the loss, falling to 2-3.
- Game #2
- The Trailblazers were the first ones on the scoreboard in the nightcap, scoring three runs in the first frame. The first two runs came on a ground-rule double by Dariel Rodriguez (Bronx, NY) that scored Roshan Warriar (Pittsfield, MA) and Jacob. The third run was scored by Bissaillon, who scampered home on a wild pitch.
- MCLA would hand that lead back in the top of the next inning with the visitors scoring four runs on five hits, the biggest blows being RBI singles by Ryan Jewett and Kevin Doyle.
- The Lancers added another run in the third, an RBI single by Mason Bates, and four in the fourth, including two on an RBI double by Carpenter.
- Both teams scored multiple runs in the fifth inning. The WSU runs were scored on an RBI single by Nathan Thurber and a two-run double by Carpenter.
- The home team scored two runs in the bottom of the frame when Chris Vargas (Queens Village, NY) mashed his first home run of the season after Bissaillon had led off with a single.
- The teams traded runs in the sixth inning to get to the game's final score of 13-6. Worcester's run came in the form of a double by Doyle, and the MCLA run came in the form of a home run that snuck in just inside the left field foul pole by Brady Sturdivant (Milton, MA).
- Nolan Turner opened the game for the Lancers to pick up the win, advancing to 5-3. Bissaillon absorbed the loss for the Trailblazers, finishing his senior season with a 0-4 record.
