MCLA falls to Castleton in Tom Greene Memorial Tournament

Sophomore guard Chris Harris led MCLA with a team high 20 points, 13 boards, and six assists, however MCLA fell to Castleton State 80-69 in the opener of the Tom Greene Memorial Tournament. With the setback, the Trailblazers fall to 1-1.
MCLA trailed by a point at the half and led on three different occasions in the second half. Harris continually brought the Trailblazers back as he would score 14 of his 20 in the half. Jon Greenberg added his second straight double-double as he finished with 11 points and 16 rebounds before fouling out.
Karl Sims had a solid night off the bench collecting 16 points on 8-11 shooting.
The Trailblazers were plagued by a tough night at the stripe as they went 5-19 from the line.
MCLA also had a tough night behind the arc as they were 2-23 from 3-point range.
The Trailblazers will face tournament host Hartwick tomorrow at 4pm in the classic format.
