Brown and Greenberg named to NYU All Tournament team
Junior forward Jamal Brown and senior forward Jon Greenberg were named to the NYU Holiday All Tournament Team for their performances over the last two days.
Manhattan, NY- MCLA junior forward Jamal Brown and senior forward Jon Greenberg were named to the NYU Holiday All Tournament Team for their performances over the last two days. The Trailblazers went 2-0 in the Holiday classic registering a 99-78 win over Swarthmore on Sunday, then disposing of Drew University 84-78 last night.
Brown was a force off the bench in both games as he averaged 20.5 points per game. He tallied a season high 26 in the win over Drew, while collecting 15 in the Swarthmore victory. He also averaged 8 rebounds a contest, notching a double double against Drew with 11 caroms.
Greenberg averaged 14 points per game, which is below his season average, however he was a monster off the glass. The senior averaged 13 rebounds per game, including 17 against Drew.
MCLA will open MASCAC play on Saturday when they travel to Worcester to face the Lancers at 5:00pm.
