MCLA Holds Men's Basketball Alumni Day

The Men's Basketball team held their Alumni day this past Saturday. The team had several alumns attend the days events. The team played thier alumni game, which pitted the 2010-11 edition versus the MCLA/North Adams State players of past lore.

The day also featured the 1st Annual MCLA Men's Basketball Bowling Tournament. The tournament was held at Mt. Greylock Bowl and was attended by the team and several alumni among others as well. The event helped raise money for the basketball program and was an enjoyable night for everybody that attended.

The Trailblazers alumni team was led by several former all-conference players. The always competitive and former all-conference selction (1984-85) Pete Vasil made the trip up from northern New Jersey. Vasil is also a former member of the Albanian National Team. Three-time first team all-conference selection Murales Louis manned the middle for the alumni team. Louis, is currently the head coach at Fenway High School in Boston.

A pair of 1,000 point scorers and all-conference players also returned in Glenn Mills (02-03) and Dave Bisesi (07-08).

The entire group of basketball alumni included Vasil, Louis, Mills, Bisesi, Pat Ryan, Henry Schrader, Chris Voght, Curtis Leaston, Diante Ellis, Shalka Rivera, J.P. Quintal, Brian Hamor, Derek Gibbons, Joey Paoletti, Mike Callahan, Brandon Pender, Mike Harmon, Karl Sims and Mike Perreault.
