Hannah-Wornum named MASCAC rookie of the week
Dakari Hannah-Wornum has been tabbed the MASCAC rookie of the week in Men's basketball as announced by the league offices today
North Adams, MA- MCLA first year player Dakari Hannah-Wornum has been named the MASCAC rookie of the week following his performances against conference foes Bridgewater State and Worcester State. The league announced the weekly recipients this afternoon.
Grant Cooper of Westfield State University was the Player of the Week.
Hannah-Wornum has provided a defensive presence all season long for the Trailblazers. He currently ranks second in the conference in blocked shots and is 8th in rebounding. Against BSU, the 6'7 forward only scored six points, however he grabbed 11 boards and rejected four shots. In a win against the Lancers, he collected 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.
Hannah-Wornum and the Trailblazers split their conference games last week. They open a tough road stretch tomorrow at Fitchburg State and continue on the road Saturday at Framingham State.
