Cross named MASCAC Rookie of the Week
MCLA's Keiland Cross has been tabbed as the MASCAC rookie of the week as announced by the league offices this afternoon
North Adams, MA- MCLA junior Keiland Cross has been selected as the MASCAC Rookie of the Week as announced by the league offices this afternoon. The honor marks the first of the season for Cross, who is in his first season in a Trailblazer uniform.
Salem State's Marcus Faison was tabbed as the conference's selection as Player of the Week.
Cross, who is in his first season of collegiate basketball, averaged 11.3 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists for the Trailblazers. In the season opener against Lyndon State, the guard from Pittsfield, MA. collected 11 points, 7 boards, and 3 assists in his first collegiate game. He would add an 18 point-9 rebound night in a loss to Coast Guard yesterday.
Cross and the Trailblazers dropped all three games to open the season and will travel to Williams College tomorrow before heading into break for the holiday.
