Men’s Basketball Set to Tip-off 2023-2024 Schedule at VTSU-Lyndon

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— The MCLA Men's Basketball team will kick-off its 2023-2024 campaign tomorrow evening at Vermont State University-Lyndon. The nonconference affair will be the first of twelve nonleague opponents that the Trailblazers will face this season in addition to their annual twelve game MASCAC slate.

MCLA returns to the Amsler Campus Center on Veteran's Day for its home opener to host Rivier University before return to Northern Vermont to visit Norwich University on November 14^th. The Trailblazers conclude their first full week of action at the Ken Wright Invitational at Amherst College. MCLA's first-round opponent will be Thomas College (Maine) on November 17^th and then either host Amherst or Castleton University on November 18^th.   The Trailblazers then make the short drive to Williams College on November 21^st before the short Thanksgiving Holiday break.

Upon their return, MCLA visits Sage College on November 27^th and hosts Elms two days later. New England College visits North Adams on December 5^th before the Trailblazers end the first semester on the road with a pair of road games on December 9^th against Plattsburgh State and Dember 11^th at Anna Maria College.

Following the holiday break, MCLA jumps into league play on January 3^rd hosting rival Fitchburg State before heading to Westfield State on January 6^th and Bridgewater State on January 10^th. The Trailblazers return home for a pair of conference tilts with Salem State on January 13^th and Framingham State on January 17^th and wrap up their three-game homestand with their last nonconference game of the season against Pratt Institute on January 20^th.

The Trailblazers visit the defending champion Worcester State Lancers on January 24^th marking the halfway mark of the conference schedule. From there it's a sprint to the finish line with the completion of the back end of each two-game series with the other six MASCAC opponents.

Down the stretch the Trailblazers will visit Fitchburg State (November 27^th), Salem State (February 2^nd) and Framingham State (February 10^th) and host Westfield State (January 31^st), Bridgewater State (February 3^rd) and Worcester State (February 17^th).

The 2024 MASCAC Men's Basketball Tournament will take place the following week.
