MCLA competes in MASCAC Championships

MCLA finished fourth in the MASCAC Golf Championships held yesterday at Blackstone Valley Golf Club. The Trailblazers were led by Shane Ortega's seventh place finish as he carded an 80.

Worcester, MA-  The MCLA golf team finished fourth in the MASCAC Golf Championships held yesterday at Blackstone Valley Golf Club in Worcester.  The event was held for the first time in nineteen years. 

MCLA finished with a team total of 339.  The Trailblazers were paced by sophomore Shane Ortega, who shot a team best 80 good enough for an seventh place finish overall.  Matt Babeu had a nice afternoon following Ortega with an 83.  Adam Ciborowski was next with an 85 for MCLA.

Salem State captured the overall team title, while Bob Bruso won the individual title with a 74.

MCLA will wrap up the spring season when they compete at Sage College.
