MCLA falters in Day 2 of Williams Invitational, Ortega finishes 8th

The MCLA golf team had a tough day, but junior Shane Ortega finished a solid 8th overall as the Trailblazers wrapped up play in the Williams Invitational. MCLA finished 14th in the 18 team field.

Williamstown, MA- The MCLA golf team had a tough day two, but junior Shane Ortega finished a solid 8th overall as the Trailblazers wrapped up play in the Williams Invitational.  MCLA finished 14th in the 18 team field.

MCLA was tenth heading into the final round of play, but only two Trailblazers could break 85 on the tough Taconic Golf club layout.  Ortega finished with a two day total of seven over par 149 (73-76), six shots shy of the top spot.

Williams College won the team event, while their top player, Robert Camp earned the individual title.
