MCLA claims Westfield State invitational
The MCLA golf program earned their second title of the fall in winning the Westfield State Invitational by ten shots. The Trailblazers shot a 329 total to outdistance the hosts by the final margin.

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Shane Ortega and Sean Cota shot
rounds of 79 and 81, respectively, to lead MCLA to the team title
in the third annual Westfield State men's golf invitational on
Saturday, Oct. 9
MCLA's top four players shot an aggregate total of 329 at Tekoa
Country Club, finishing 10 strokes ahead of Westfield (339).
Worcester, led by low medalist Bob Bruso's 73, finished a stroke
behind Westfield with a 340 total. Also participating was Holyoke
Community College.
