Golf competes in Cobleskill Invitational
The MCLA Golf team competed in the Cobleskill spring invite this afternoon in adverse conditions
Cobleskill, NY- The MCLA Men's Golf program competed this afternoon in the Cobleskill spring invitational held at Canajoharie Country Club in less than ideal conditions. With a strong wind and temperatures hovering in the low 40's, the Trailblazers finished fourth. The host team, the Cobleskill Tigers, took home top honors with a score of 318.
MCLA was paced by Corbin Brassard who finished tied 10th with a round of 89. Chris Merriman was right behind him with a 90, good enough for 13th place, while Nick Young was in 17th.
Tyler Tatro and James Clark also competed for MCLA, who finished with a team score of 381.
Cobleskill's Clark Leonelli shot a solid three over par 74 to take home the individual title by five shots over teammate Shawn Westridge. They were the only players to break 80 on the afternoon at the par 71 layout.
MCLA will compete in next week's MASCAC championships held at Blackstone Country Club on Tuesday.
