Golf finishes 14th at Elms Invitational
The MCLA golf team played through some tough weather conditions in the closing round of the Elms Invitational held at the Orchards Golf Club this afternoon
South Hadley, MA- The final round of the Elms Invitational was held this afternoon under tough weather conditions at the Orchards Golf Club. MCLA finished in 14th place after the two day event.
Babson took home the team title with a score of 598 while Chris Bornhorst of Babson took the individual title with a two day total of 146.
MCLA shot a 353 on day two after posting a 331 at Hickory Ridge on the opening day. The Trailblazers were led by Matt Lawrence who posted an 85 this afternoon to finish in 53rd place. Josh Fortier had one of his best rounds of the season with an 83 for a two day total of 171 and a 62nd place finish.
Liam Nolan posted an 89 this afternoon while Reese Dwyer shot a 96 to round out the scoring.
The Trailblazers are off until this weekend when they host the NAC Championships to be held at Berkshire Hills Country Club.
