Golf wraps up day one of NAC Championships in Vermont

2018 NAC Championships Team Results
Waterbury Center, VT- Defending champion Husson University has opened up a three stroke lead after day one of the 2018 NAC Championships hosted by Johnson State at the Country Club of Vermont. The Eagles hold a slim lead over Salem State after shooting a solid 307 in difficult conditions.
Gavin Dugas of Husson leads the individual race after an even par round of 72. He has a one shot lead over Salem State's Justin Serowik heading into day two.
The Vikings are in second place after shooting a 310.
MCLA is in tenth place after day one. The Trailblazers were led by Reese Dwyer, who carded an opening round 89. Bobby New shot a 95 for MCLA behind Dwyer.
Also competing this afternoon were Gabe Evans and Hunter Woodbury.
The winner of the team competition earns the conference's automatic bid into the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
