Gover Claims MASCAC Rookie of the Week

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.—The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced it first weekly award winners for Men's Golf and MCLA's Matt Gover (Atkinson, NH) has been named Rookie of the Week. Gover is coming of a strong second place showing at the New England College Invitational where he posted an even par 72.

Springfield College senior Nicholas DeMaio (West Springfield, MA) was tabbed as MASCAC Golf Athlete of the Week.

Gover won his first career individual title the previous week at the Norwich Invitational with a career best 70 at the Montague Country Club.

Gover and the Trailblazers are in action this afternoon at 1pm hosting the MCLA Invitational at Waubeeka Country Club in neighboring Williamstown.
