They’re Back! Men’s Hockey Returns This Week After Twenty Year Hiatus
The MCLA Men’s Hockey program will kick off its 2023-2024 season this Thursday.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Following twenty seasons of dormancy, the MCLA Men's Hockey program returns to action this Thursday at 8pm taking on MASCAC rival Fitchburg State at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink in North Adams. First year Head Coach Jeremiah Ketts will lead the Trailblazers through a grueling 25-game regular season schedule which includes twenty-one conference tilts.
The MASCAC hockey schedule features a triple round robin format which maintains the same order throughout the season. For MCLA this season the order is Fitchburg State (home on November 2nd and January 27th, away January 24th), UMASS Dartmouth (away on November 9th and February 21st, home January 6th), Plymouth State (home on November 11th and February 3rd, away January 11th), Salem State (away November 16th and February 8th, home January 13th), Westfield State (November 18th and February 10th, away January 18th), Framingham State (away November 30th and February 15th, home January 20th) and Worcester State (away December 2nd and February 17th and home January 25th).
The Trailblazers will also take on nonconference opponents Rivier University away on November 4th and host Western New England University on November 21st as well as participate in the Vermont State Castleton Tournament on November 24th and 25th.
