They’re Back! Men’s Hockey Returns This Week After Twenty Year Hiatus

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Following twenty seasons of dormancy, the MCLA Men's Hockey program returns to action this Thursday at 8pm taking on MASCAC rival Fitchburg State at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink in North Adams. First year Head Coach Jeremiah Ketts will lead the Trailblazers through a grueling 25-game regular season schedule which includes twenty-one conference tilts.

The MASCAC hockey schedule features a triple round robin format which maintains the same order throughout the season. For MCLA this season the order is Fitchburg State (home on November 2^nd and January 27^th, away January 24^th), UMASS Dartmouth (away on November 9^th and February 21^st, home January 6^th), Plymouth State (home on November 11^th and February 3^rd, away January 11^th), Salem State (away November 16^th and February 8^th, home January 13^th), Westfield State (November 18^th and February 10^th, away January 18^th), Framingham State (away November 30^th and February 15^th, home January 20^th) and Worcester State (away December 2^nd and February 17^th and home January 25^th).

The Trailblazers will also take on nonconference opponents Rivier University away on November 4^th and host Western New England University on November 21^st as well as participate in the Vermont State Castleton Tournament on November 24^th and 25^th.
