Stolz Named MASCAC Men’s Hockey Goalie and Rookie of the Week

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— MCLA's Roco Stoltz (Bloomfield Hills, MI / Charlotte Rush) has been selected as the MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Goalie and Rookie of the Week as announced by the league earlier today.

The freshman goalie went 2-0 with a GAA of 1.50 and a .962 save percentage, leading MCLA to a pair of MASCAC wins this week. Made 48 saves with a .979 save percentage in a 5-1 win at Rivier and followed that up with a 30 save performance (.938 save percentage) in a 7-2 postseason clinching win against Framingham State.

Stolz and MCLA are back in action this Thursday when they host Fitchburg State University at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink for a MASCAC matchup with the Falcons. The puck will drop at 8 p.m.
