Anthony Andolina and Quentan Polkowski Named NAC Men’s Lacrosse Co-Player and Goalie of the Week
MCLA’s Quentan Polkowski and Anthony Andolina have been awarded NAC Weekly honors.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — MCLA's Quentan Polkowski and Anthony Andolina have been awarded NAC Weekly honors as announced by the league earlier today. Polkowski was selected as the conference Goalie of the Week, while Andolina shared the Player of the Week award with Maine Maritime Academy's Trey Marcil.
Polkowski, the sophomore netminder, recorded 16 saves while backstopping the Trailblazers season opening victory over the Southern University of Maine Huskies. He also collected three ground balls and six turnovers caused.
Andolina, the senior attacker, notched six goals on nine shots, seven of which were on goal on Saturday. Among those six goals was the game-winner, scored with less than a minute remaining in the Trailblazers' win over USM.
Polkowski and Andolina will be back in action this Wednesday when the Trailblazers host Mitchell College at Shewcraft Field for a non-conference matchup with the Mariners. Face-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
