NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — MCLA's Quentan Polkowski has been recognized with a North Atlantic Conference Weekly honor as announced by the league earlier this week. Polkowski was selected at the conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week with Husson University's Owen Giorgio.
Polkowski, the sophomore netminder, went 2-0 this week with 4.50 goals against average along with a .775 save percentage making 31 saves in a pair of nonconference road victories for MCLA. The sophomore goalie made 17 saves on 20 shots on goal in a 22-3 win at Centenary (NJ) and stopped 14 of 20 shots in an 8-6 decision at St. Joseph's (LI).
Polkowski and MCLA will be back in action this Saturday when the Trailblazers host Thomas University at Shewcraft Field for a North Atlantic Conference matchup with the Terriers. Face-off is scheduled for noon.
