Julian Named to NEILA All-Academic Team
MCLA’s James Julian has been selected to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse All-Academic Team.
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Two hundred and ninety-eight student-athletes have been selected to the 2026 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Academic Teams, announced by the organization on Thursday morning.
Members of the teams are nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II, and III, and are student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career.
Babson College led all institutions with 15 student-athletes who qualified for the honor. Reigning national champion Tufts University saw 14 players earn All-Academic status, while Amherst College had 13 qualify for the teams.
Overall, 59 different colleges and universities were represented across all three divisions.
Eleven schools from Division I made up the 59 All-Academic award winners, while 37 honorees represented nine different schools in Division II, where the University of Bridgeport led the way with ten student-athletes.
Harvard University paced Division 1 with 10 student-athletes, while UMass Amherst and Brown University had eight students apiece.
In total, 202 Division III players representing 39 different institutions made an appearance on this year's squads.
Nominees must have a senior or graduate student standing with no eligibility remaining or plans to use their eligibility in New England, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be an impact player for their team.
