MASCAC announces Men's Soccer preseason poll
The MCLA Men's Soccer team was selected to finish 8th in the preseason MASCAC poll released this morning.
2013 MASCAC Men's Soccer Preseason Poll
North Adams, MA- The MASCAC has released its preseason poll for the upcoming Men's Soccer season. Defending champion Salem State was selected as the preseason favorite. MCLA was selected to finish eighth.
The Trailblazers will look to rebound from last season's finish in the competitive MASCAC. MCLA will open conference play up on September 21st when they challenge Worcester State. Salem State, which claimed the conference regular season title last fall, captured four first place votes for 58 points. Last year's tournament champions, the Westfield State Owls, collected 53 points. Framingham is third followed by Bridgewater and Worcester, while Mass. Maritime and Fitchburg tied for sixth with 19 points. MCLA was eighth with 17 points respectively.
MCLA opens its season next Friday when they travel to the Norwich tournament.
