Men's Soccer set for return with 15 game slate this fall
The MCLA Men's Soccer program will return to action with 15 games this fall
North Adams, MA-- The MCLA Men's Soccer team is eager to kick off their 2021 season after taking a year off due to the pandemic. The Trailblazers will compete in a fifteen game slate that will kick off in just three weeks.
Led by Head Coach Adam Hildabrand, the Trailblazers have a heavy home schedule in 2021. The Trailblazers will open their season at Eastern Connecticut on September 1st before being at the friendly confines of Shewcraft Field for six of their next seven contests. MCLA opens the home slate with its annual tournament on September 4-5. The hosts will challenge Western Connecticut in the opener before facing Eastern Nazarene in the second round. Rounding out the field for the tournament is MASCAC foe Salem State.
The Trailblazers have a long wait to compete again as they'll be off until September 18th when they open MASCAC play on the road against Worcester State. The next day, MCLA will return home for a four match homestand that kicks off with Husson. Just two days later, MCLA will host Union (NY) before welcoming Westfield State for a MASCAC tilt on the 24th. The Trailblazers wrap up the homestand with another conference matchup with Mass. Maritime on October 1st.
Hildabrand's crew will head out on the road for their next three matches battling NVU-Lyndon (10/5), Framingham State (10/8), and Albany College of Pharmacy (10/12). MCLA will host Fitchburg State on the 15th and another non conference matchup with Keene State on the 20th. The Trailblazers head out to Salem State on October 23rd before wrapping up the fall schedule with Senior Day on October 29th against Bridgewater State.
MCLA last competed in 2019 and will be seeking a return to the MASCAC postseason.
