de Oliveira Scores Four Goals in MASCAC Win Over Framingham
Freshman Gustavo Gustavo de Oliveira scored four goals as MCLA picked up its first conference win of the season
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — The MCLA Men's Soccer Team took to the road this afternoon for a MASCAC matchup with Framingham State at the Maple Street Field in Framingham. MCLA's Gustavo de Oliveira scored four goals and Oliver Le Lacheur made five saves to power the Trailblazers to 4-2 win.

- Series History: MCLA now leads the all-time series 27-18-2, including a 5-1 win in North Adams last year on September 20th. Framingham took the first-ever meeting of the teams during the 1972 season.
HIGHLIGHTS
- MCLA jumped out to an early lead in the sixth minute, taking advantage of a Framingham turnover in their own end. The Trailblazers forced the ball into freshman forward Kyle Cardoso (Pittsfield, MA) who caught Gustavo de Oliveira (Pittsfield, MA) streaking to the net and buried the shot into the wide open left side of the goal.
- The Rams would even the score in the 28th minute thanks to an unassisted goal from Kaio Santos Da Silva.
- The score wouldn't stay tied for long thanks to de Oliveira picking up another goal off of a free kick from 25 yards out through the Rams wall and just inside the right post.
- It was de Oliveira who stretched the lead before half time, again banging home a free kick in the 44th minute, this time from about 21 yards out that again stayed just to the side of the right post.
- Framingham broke through with the first goal of the second half with Santos da Silva again picking up the tally in the 57th minute.
- de Oliveira added an insurance goal in the 89th minute, with another free kick goal from 32 yards deep, with a slow roller into the right side of the net.
- Trailblazers' keeper Oliver LeLacheur (Medford, MA) stopped five shots to up their record to 1-1 -0. The Rams' Colin Holt made five stops on nine shots but fell to 1-2-0 for the year.
