HIGHLIGHTS
- The scoreless first half saw Rivier hold a 9-5 edge in shots and a 4-2 edge in shots on goal. In the second half, that advantage for the host Raiders became more pronounced at 10-3, but MCLA made the most of their shots, finding the back of the net on the game winner.
- The Trailblazers' goal came on a quick strike opportunity as MCLA turned defense into offense when Marcos Lopez (Albany, NY) stepped in front of a pass near the top of his own penalty box and pushed the ball out to Kyle Cardoso (Pittsfield, MA) near midfield. Cardoso forwarded the ball on to Gustavo de Oliveira (Pittsfield, MA) near the center circle. de Oliveira spun around to find Kyle Almeida (Averill Park, NY) streaking through the middle of the defense. Almeida slowed just enough to stay onside before outracing multiple defenders and chipping a shot past the keeper.
- Trailblazers' keeper Oliver LeLacheur (Medford, MA) improved his record to 2-2-0 while recording a season-high eight saves.
