MCLA Men Open Season at Smith Cross Country Invitational
The Coast Guard placed five runners in the top twelve to win men's race today on Smith's 5k course.

Northampton, MA- The Coast Guard placed five runners in the top twelve to win men's race today on Smith's 5k course. Springfield College sophomore David Birdsall (Madison, CT) was the individual race winners.
Birdsall ran the 5k course in 16:57.89. Senior Nick Curelop (Athol, MA) finished 40th out of 119 with at time of 18:36.38.
In the men's race, Coast Guard scored 31 points followed by Springfield (33), Westfield State (115), Western New England (122), Norwich (148), Clark (151), SUNY Institute of Technology (198), New England College (229) and MCLA with 233.
The Trailblazers will race next at the Purple Valley Classic hosted by Williams College on Saturday, September 26 at 12:00 PM.
