Men Cross Country Takes 5th at Elms Invitational
CHICOPEE, Mass. – The MCLA Men and Women Cross Country teams kicked off the 2010 season today at the Elms Invitational, with both teams showing solid gains already on 2009.
CHICOPEE, Mass. – The MCLA Men and Women Cross Country teams kicked off the 2010 season today at the Elms Invitational, with both teams showing solid gains already on 2009.
In the men's 8-kilometer race, Johnson & Wales University placed four runners in the top five and had a team score of 20 to claim top honors with UNE placing second with a combined score of 47. Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) notched 135 points for fifth place out of the eleven teams.
Johnson & Wales' James Vance (Newton, Mass.) was the top overall finisher for the men, clocking a time of 27:28. Keith Desilets was first across for MCLA and thirteenth overall with a time of 31:11. Anthony Cancilla was next finishing fourteenth with a time of 31:30. James Maloney was the third Trailblazer across in a time of 36:17.
